The product design category was the most impressive for me this year at Gerety Awards, specifically the inclusive deodorant for Degree. It’s a combination between the amount of effort put into research and development and the simplicity of the idea that really hit the mark for me. I think we should all – agencies and marketers alike – be investing our time and efforts into innovations that can have a lasting impact and can truly be life changing. As an industry, we have this power.
I think what differentiates Gerety’s winners from all other award shows is that you’ll see the qualities of the hundreds of industry female leaders reflected in the essence of the work. It’s almost like a common set of shared values became an unspoken criteria of selection. And I think it’s fascinating and valuable at the same time to have this perspective.
