Pornhub, the world’s largest adult network, launched Classic Nudes, an interactive audio and video guide to some of the world’s premiere art museums, focusing specifically on the most stunning nude masterpieces in their collections.
Although tourism is beginning to make a comeback, many of our most beloved and respected art institutions are still feeling the effects of the pandemic. So in an effort to encourage their 140 million daily users to get excited about visiting museums, Pornhub wants to prove that their website isn’t the only place you can find priceless porn. Featuring more than 100 nude works of art from museums like the Louvre, the MET, Musee d’Orsay, Uffizi Gallery, Museo del Prado and the National Gallery, the guide was painstakingly curated with the help of an expert art historian in order to give users a feast for the eyes and the mind.
To promote the guide, Pornhub released a SFW ad starring former adult performer and politician Cicciolina (Ilona Staller), well known in the art world for appearing alongside her ex-husband Jeff Koons in some of his most erotic and controversial artworks. In the ad, Cicciolina takes on the titular role of Botticelli’s Birth of Venus as she motivates Pornhub’s users to appreciate nudity in a whole new context with the Classic Nudes guide.
Behind the activation is the brand’s longtime creative agency Officer & Gentleman. Javi Iñiguez de Onzoño, Executive Creative Director , says in the press relase: “We wanted to introduce classic art to a whole new audience at a time when museums could use some extra attention. And what better way to do that than showing Pornhub’s users that they can find some of the sexiest scenes in history at the world’s most famous museums. And who knows? They may just learn to love art in the process.”
Classic Nudes was designed for use when visiting the featured museums (with detailed maps showing the location of each work of art) or from the comfort of your home. The audio guide is voiced by adult star and radio personality Asa Akira, adding a humorous touch to some thoroughly researched art history. And as an added surprise for Pornhub’s users, each museum tour includes an adult video starring amateur couple MySweetApple, in which they recreate nude masterpieces from the collection with their own erotic twist.
